GTSR W1 Stolen - Pre-Delivery

New Holden GTSR W1 and Holden SV6 stolen from Adelaide CBD business

TWO new, unregistered Holden vehicles were stolen from a CBD business.

The business premises was broken into just before 11pm on Monday and a 2017 black Holden GTSR W1 and a 2017 silver Holden SV6 were driven away.

Holden GTSR W1 models made this year are priced between $160,000 and $300,000 from some dealers.

The SV6 models start from about $40,000.

Both vehicles were not registered and were not displaying registration plates.

The stolen SV6 was last seen travelling south on Port Wakefield Rd, Bolivar later that night.

Anyone with information on the theft or the location of either vehicle is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

You know you are the lower in the ****-bloke pecking order when you get the SV6.

Hmmm wonder if these 2 cars went missing from the large holden/hsv dealership that has been forced to cease trading as a GM dealer as of the 31st Dec....

Probably not, given that they aren't in the CBD. It's more likely to be the other dealer, who are in the CBD. I hope so....

I really feel sorry for the future owner/s. Just imagine the anticipation of collecting the beaut W1 and then find out some lowlife has just ruined your dream car purchase . I hope they get a chance for another one somehow.

Seems that they were brave (or silly) enough to take them for a drive with no plates.

From memory Bolivar is about 20k from the city, and they were heading back towards town

I wonder what the thieves intend to do with the GTSR W1 - considering the car has Datadot anti-theft technology I don't see how they could part it out or sell it without getting caught.

My guess is its an inside job. They probably accessed the key safe for the keys and didn't need to break into the actual cars at all.

My guess is someone knew something from an employee. To break into a dealership and drive away with a W1 is just unbelievable. If I were the dealer principle I would have made sure any W1 on the premises was impossible to steal - even to the point of blocking it in with a heap of display cars - that’s for a start. Perhaps it may have been a smart idea to have the W1 keys elsewhere away from the normal spot. Will be good to hear how the oxygen thieving low life scummies got away with it.

Major embarrassment for the dealer.

Whether intentionally or unintentional, these guys had help so it's now up to plod to work out what really happened..

there is a GTSR W1 ute next door, lime green awesome looking , and HUGE brakes all round, they are going to enjoy the ride from what ive seen, my FGX has no chance.

I am not sure if I was the owner I would want it back... I guess the dealer is totally responsible for the car until delivered.. and I presume it would be insured in some way

It would be a GTS R Maloo, W1 was the sedan only.
