G'day guys,
On the drivers side headlight on my TE50 i have a moisture problem with water seeping in there. I haven't actually taken the headlight out yet but i would imagine there would be some sort of hairline crack somewhere around the light. Just wondering if anyone else has a had a similar issue or if anyone can recommend somewhere in Melb who may be able to repair? I have done a search and found lots of people recommend the headlight hospital, who I have already tried to contact via phone and email with no success, which is the main reason why I posted this. Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Adam.

I put a little pit of silicon no caps around the joins in the headlight and haven't had any noticable moisture at all.

If you go to Ford to buy a T series headlight, sit down before asking the price - they were around $800 each a few years ago.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of JC, i've heard the prices are astronomical for these things.

sounds like the boot in the back is not makeing a seal take them off and take the globs out and stick a hair dryer in there to dry the water out let them sit for about 1 hour then put them back togeather

If it's not what Poel has suggested i'd reccomend pulling off the headlight. Pulling it apart (have to heat it up so the silastic stuff comes loose alowing you to pull it apart)
then clean off any water marks left inside the plastic shell, dry it all out. Pull off as much of the old silastic as possible, then re-glue it with new silastic making sure you create a good seal and then put it back together. Should be right after that. Probably take you 3 hours

The others got a mixed dozen, which would have been easier as all mine were filled. One of the guys finished first in 1˝hrs.
