Haha, im sure the comment has been made in a facetious manner. Nothing like having a laugh at a good, old fashioned sterotype!

I trust that no phone/photogrpahic device was used whilst the engine was on and the car in gear?

OMG, imagine that policemen eat just like the rest of us! Ohhh and God forbid...... even takeaway junk food! And there I was thinking they were a different species which ate bark chips or something!

Tax dollars at work? Somehow I doubt that. I work for a Commonwealth government organisation. Does that mean if I get my lunch at the deli around the corner, or get some dinner on the way back from a meeting, or even bring some dinner back for some colleagues, that its taxpayer funded? Im fairly sure the state governments wouldnt pay for dinner unless it was overtime.

Oh well, if I ever call for a policeman to come to my house for some reason and he is grumpy, I will assume that the state government has cut pizza from the budget, and that he or she is just very hungry! LOL

You, my friend, are a loser.

Just in case you were directing that question at me and dont know how to 'reply to a quote', my father is in fact an engineer who has qualifications in mechanical, civil & environmental and chemical engineering as well as an IT degree and other things, as well as being a recently retired managing director of a large engineering company - now a contractor.

Anyways, if you ever need someone to come to your door if your house is robbed, Im betting you dont call him a pig. And Im betting you are a keyboard warrior who wouldnt have the stones to call a police officer a pig to his or her face!!!

I just actually dont really like important members of the community who work hard, being disrespected in a public forum.

If that is hitting a raw nerve, then so be it!

Tool.

XRChic, you seem to have seen something we have not... Oh well...

IMO I think it's funny, but the whole cops & donuts thing is really US... Not AU...

We're all human, and **** telstra techs love maccas hows it different? It's not...

Just some satire humor, and personally it's the most harmless laugh I have had on here for a while...

Keep it light, keep it fun...

I was addressing b2tf but since you feel the need to qualify your father maybe theres some issues there as well. Maybe down there in SA police officers are still respected members of the community (much like your father apparently) who do their best to tackle real issues, here they are capable of nothing more than printing money in the form of little yellow tickets. I only had to call them once and after waiting 32 hours for them to show was told that they could give me a reporting number but there was no hope of finding
the stolen goods.

In fact, if it had been put a different way it may have been an amusing, if old, stereotype. However, the tone of the title and some other comments were more suggestive of something more than a joke - perhaps some resentment?

And it was not necessarily the tread starter, but the following name calling that I primarily object to... which was what my second post related to. My first was more a dig at people making ridiculous assumptions and stereotypes like that, which can have an effect on people.

There are members of the police force on this forum actually, and they often get sick of this sort of rubbish.

Its about respect - sometimes a lack of respect can be disguised as a joke, I agree. But it doesnt make it any less respectful.

RIPGMH,

as a matter of fact yes my father was a federal police officer. he got out of it mainly because he had to deal with illiterate, braindead boganistic morons like you, who feel they have to bag everybody out to be a big man.

it's people like you that mean we have to have cops in the first place - arrogant loudmouth yobbo hillbillies who haven't got two brain cells to rub together and start a fire.

yes, you hit a nerve.
