darker colours show more dirt. my car is monsoon blue and 20 minutes after i wash it, it looks filthy again.
my mums car is organza (light champagney colour) and it hides the dirt well as do most silvers. burgundy is also a horrible colour to keep clean

by what you have said sounds like a lot of built up waxes / polishes etc. and could be time for a tin of elbow grease. Cheers Pete |

i wax mine every 6 weeks and wash it every week and it always looks clean. Its regency red. If i leave it longer than about a week it starts to look very grubby.

Hard labour - not at all, if you use quality gear.
Really frustrates me that people keep thinking that car care is hard, it's as easy as abc but the ease of use and results you get will depend on which brands you are using Can't get a mothers shine with kitten or re po And you can't get the results from top shelf boutique brands with off the shelf products. However spending hundred's of dollars on a wax won't provide better results with a $40 to 50 dollar tub of wax My car's galaxy blue paint ooks great for ages after it's washed the autopian way Dirt doesn't settle on darker coloured cars anymore than other colours but does show more Cover iand garage it as often as you can A highly polished and sealed finish will keep alot more environmental crap off
