Bluepower for a long time has been using the Boost A pump (BAP) to solve many fuel related issues with tuned boosted cars. The beauty of the BAP is that it can be fitted to any car with ease.
Most commonly the BAP has been used to solve the fuel issues with the new 5.0 S/C Falcons where the fuel trends to lean off at high RPM. This is where the BAP come into play. By Using a BAP there is no need to upgrade the in-tank pump to increase fuel pressure and supply Standard fuel systems will have a voltage difference depending on voltage loads Eg Head lights, Stereo etc. these can changes the fuel pressure to the injectors and causes the engine to run lean. How it works. Wired into the factory wiring loom the BAP steps up the voltage to the fuel pump to keep a constant voltage from 12V all the way up to 17.5V, this is triggered by a boost pressure switch that only turns on after 5 Psi so you don’t get the over fuelling issues at idle caused by aftermarket fuel pumps. The Boost A pump is so good that even Shelby fit them to every Super Snake that rolls of the factory floor. Fitting diagrams are also included with the kits for easy installation Booster A Pump Street Single channel kit is $435 posted anywhere in Australia

We also have been using the Dual channel Boost A Pump on Twin 044 setups on E85 and the like. This has been a massive advantage by not being forced to set up a 3rd 044 pump.
The Dual channel Boost A Pump can run up to 20V with a 40 Amp draw

Just to give you some more information on this product after a heap of inquires
These units can be fitted to any make or model and is very simple to install Boost A Pump 40Amp - Naturally Aspirated Engine $435 posted Boost A Pump 40Amp - Forced Induction Engine $400 posted Boost A Spark - Naturally Aspirated Engine $375 posted Boost A Spark - Forced Induction Engine $425 posted Spark is one of the critical processes in the cycle of any internal combustion engine. In many circumstances OEM systems are fine, however when higher cylinder pressures exist either through camshaft timing, compression or boost the spark event can be hampered by these engaging factors. It is the closing of plug gaps and the like that can induce poor low rpm burning. Closing plug gaps on an FI setup is something that we historically have HAD to do. With a high quality spark amplifier like an old school MSD unit or a Kenne Bell Boost-a-spark closing plug gaps is a thing of the past. Here is some detailed Tech info on the Boost A Pump from KB http://www.kennebell.net/KBWebsite/C...elpumptech.pdf

this thread is about a proven performer that has been around for many years and has all the runs on the board, and is just as plug and play as the competitors product, which has no history in Australia. Beware of imitations. Chris

The Boost A Pump is very easy to install, there is two locations it can be installed. one of behind the glove box and the other is under the passenger seat.
Earth is simple to get from any bolt mounted to metal near the unit. Power comes from the factory fuel pump wire which we cut and place bullet terminals on so it can be easy By-Passed or returned to stock. One end of the wire with the fuse connection is connected to the OEM fuel pump wire and the boosted power wire is then connected to the other end of the OEM wire that runs to the fuel pump. Next you set up the controller box which we leave hanging down during tuning so we have easy access tot he unit.( once tuning is finished we relocate the unit behind the glove box. On Turbo/Supercharged car there is a Pressure switch that comes with the kit that triggers the extra voltage only when needed. This we place in the engine bay and is run of the vacuum line near the fuel pressure regulator. The unit is limited to 17V as we don't want any issues with the factory wiring being overloaded. This will cause very expensive wiring loom replacement. "0" on the dial is standard voltage all the way to "100" is 17Volts We offer over the phone tech support with all our products. Dave from CPV in Mackay has been using a Boost-a-pump in his FG F6 for the last 2 years trouble free, Standard fitment in Shelby Super Snake, so you know its good!!

Thanks Theo
What about the boost a spark? Have you had success with those also? Does it work off a pressure switch too? Do you think they would both fit behind the glove box? I've got two amps under passenger seat unfortunately

Both BAS and BAP work of pressure switch and you can use the same one if you are running both.
The Boost A Spark we mount under the dash near the fuse box. again it same fitting as the BAP. you just need to find the correct wire. We went from 500Kw to almost 550Kw just with a BAS on a blown 5.4 with a Kenne Bell running 15 Psi. being able to open spark plugs gaps up make a massive difference both in idle/Low RPM and when the BAS kick's in at high RPM as we get a much faster burn in the cylinder which makes all the extra power. There is no "Plug and Play" power amp's on the market. both kits currently in Australia take the same time to wire in. There is no loom adaptor to just plug into. both kits still can be returned to stock easy.

That would depend on the type of car and mods on it.. generally if you put mods on a car then retuning will give you gains
