Default headlight globe removal and replacement

Hey guys I'm in the middle of replacing one of my head light globes on my car. I've tried to do search of past threads on removal and replacements of them. Can someone direct me to it please, or provide me with some advice.

The hardest part is getting my head around the circlip and how it works as well as replacement of the parker globe. I hear its integrated to the head light. Is this true? Is there an easy way to remove this?

the Parker bulb is removed separately from the main h4 bulb it just pushes in and if u pull on the wires it come out the only hard part is getting it back into its spot when ur putting it back together. the main h4 bulb their is a trick to removing the plug if you push at the to flat parts opposite each other it will release and come off the clip if you push it in and on a angle it will come off and push it in but opposit angle it will lock in again with the new bulb in .

Indeed. Not much room to move there.

All the best with it.

Too dark to do anything now. I'm gonna get me some bent nose pliers to help remove the parker globe. I'm gonna do it with the battery still in. If its too hard only then will I remove the battery.

I dont understand why Ford went away from the traditional twist style fittings. They were so much easier to deal with.

Whilst this is true - the AU has a bucket of room even on the battery side compared to an EF/EL!
I'm pretty sure when i looked after the cabs, I really did get a dollar for every time i changed a headlight bulb...
Oh and the AU's use H4's, the EL's use H1's from memory.

Thanks guys. Jobs done. No need for bent nose pliers or battery removal. Was able to coerce the globe out ok as well as the parker globe. Had the job finished within 15 minutes after all the other ancillary items were refitted I.e. s/c pod and catch can.

I now have some PHILIPS crystal vision bright white globes fitted.

I appreciate the advice and help.

Made a quick video on how to remove the connector clip, just because I had so much trouble in the past (including breaking the globe mount away from the Headlight :(. Its easy to do right once you see where the clips actually are. https://youtu.be/xoQKNUFAz4Y
