Default TE cortina Gears/Clutch HELP!!!

Hey.

Ive got a TE cortina sitting in my yard it was my first car n im trying to get rid of it but anyway.....

I just went out to move it today and it wont select gears wont go into anything and just grinds sumthing shocking if i try put it in reverse. its a 2lirte 4 spd does it sound like the clutch needs adjusting or what??

If it does can anyone tell me step by step instructions on how to adjust it? (yes im a chick LOL)

just thought id add this dunno if it makes any difference.....

I just went out n i can select the gears while the engine is off but when it was running it wouldnt???

help plz

sounds like ur clutch cable might be streached or broken.

did it just start happening all of a sudden or your not sure

also the clutch could be fubard..

the pedal should give way @ friction point.
so u press it and then at a certian point it should just fall to the floor

if it is springy or u dont feel it get loose. they the cable is either streached or the clutch is gone.

thanks for the reply...

Um it was fine a month ago when i moved it just when i got in there today it was like it....

the clutch felt no different to what it used to that i could tell.

i dunno ill have to get sum1 to look at it i guess coz i got no idea.

if its stuffed i wont bother selling it ill just let the wreckers take it..
