Wink They Pimped My Ride!

Hi All,

THEY PIMPED MY RIDE! LOL!

Got my wagon back this afternoon and it's way too low. I know many of you will say it's just right, but it's simply too low for family duties. There was a fair degree of scraping going up the driveway for the first time. That was just with me in it.

Also, it's lower than XR height, and the back is level, not 15mm higher than the front as I wanted. They simply got it wrong and will be doing it again tomorrow.

I suspect they'll need an inch on the front and the 15mm on top of that at the rear.

But for now, enjoy the Pimp my Ride pics! Especially you Justin! LOL!

I personally like it, but if it doesnt suit your needs mate, you need to change it.

And just think, it would have been lower in another week had you left it. ;)

Was the scraping just the mudflaps or something else?

Looks good though!

Reminds me of what happened to my EL many moons ago. I asked Pedders to drop it to XR height (lows), but they put SLs on it. I kept it that way because I was younger and even more stupid than I am now, and I thought it looked pretty cool, but it was an A grade PITA.

Never, ever, again.

not low enough!!!!!

my car use to scrape heaps.

then i took the mudflaps out : : :

i only scrape occasionally on my driveway if i mess it up. easier to not scrape than scrape or one vicous speed bump at uni.

compared to xr height, the front only looks a few mm lower than that. but yeah if it doesnt suit your needs then tell em to fix it!

Ride is firmer as expected but not bad at all. Braking feels much tighter, which I also expected. It's all quiet and tight, goes great around corners. But alas, it's not my daily ride but the family car.

Up she goes! LOL!

With the wagons the tail end looks kind of saggy when it's level, I think it will look better with the bum 15mm higher than the front. Good work

Doesnt look any lower than the factory pursuit after I just went and studied mine. Yeah sure the tyre service (and me for that matter) has trouble getting a jack under it but I dont scrape on anything. I suspect like the guys said the mudflaps are the issue and maybe get the exhaust tucked up it may be sagging.

Noooooo, leave it bro, it's not low, low its just right, OMO.
The front is just right, if anything maybe the rear is a bit low for family duties. Of course its your call, perhaps sleep on it tonight. Thanks for sharing. looks good.

It looks heaps cool man, it does sit pretty low! Heaps of ppl keep telling me mine isint low enough when i think its at a decent height but i wouldn't mind the back a bit lower but i'm thinking more along the lines of not wanting to be defected by the cops.

Looks good, that's for sure, but if it's still the family hauler then I can see why you're a bit concerned over scrapage !

Will Pedders swap everything over for free, or are you going to be more out of pocket ?

i dont blame you for wanting it back up, i backed out of a shopping centre car park today , the front spoiler snagged on the a slight raised bit of cement and tore the nutserts in the nose cone gaurd join out leaving a 1/4 inch gap between them:(, and mines just normal xr6 height, we need a button on the dash for extra clearance ......pump up air bags.

They've got it now and it's on the way up.

It'll probably get me bagged out, as it seems almost everyone likes their cars quite low, but XR height is the aim for me, and a little higher at the back to allow for the holiday load, or towing a trailer.

As for cost, it's being done for nothing, it was their mistake.

My suspicion was right. They did the rears first, went too low and had to go much lower than originally planned to make it look okay. They're going for the XR height spring as can be seen in this pic. It's the way I want it, and will be better than before, without scraping and being cool for family service.

http://www.pedders.com.au/photoGallery/0/2/photo69

It's all good.

It's your call GK, and as long as your happy with it, then we're all happy with it.
Deffinately to low, looks about the same as mine which is about an inch lower than what you wanted (XR height).

At this height it's not bad, as long as your aware of it. I don't scrape on much now. I just need to take things at an angle. I can only think of 1 thing i constantly scrape on and that's because it a shooping center ramp and i can't change my angle of dangle for it. I just avoid it now.

You still going for the 2 stage rear spring?

Cheers

Stock rear, just reset. It's all done, just spoke to the guy who said I'd be very happy with it as it's come up "beautiful."

I'm sure it will be great for our family motoring needs! LOL!

Now for the SR! :Up_to_som

Just kidding!

Pics to come.
