Gaday all,
Ive posted this in the wanted adds , but havent had any response so I thought I'd try my luck here. Im after an RS2000. 2 or 4 door , any colour, any condition. Im looking at restoring it. I used to have one 8 years ago and now I regret selling it. If by any chance anyone knows of a red 4 door that came from wollongong around 2000-2001 that had an aftermarket sunroof , 2 pac monza red paint and the last time I saw it , it had minilites on it. Also had no stripes but did have an RS2000 decal on the beaver panel. Interior was retrimmed in black velour with red stripes. I dont have the engine numbers or any rego plates but it was in the RS owners club of australia , south coast club, and wollongong street machines club. If you think you may know of this car ( I know its a long shot ) please let me know as I want to try and get it back. Cheers Mick |

Join the club mate.....I know of 3 people desperately chasing a project car here in Melbourne. We've been co-bidding on ebay, but there's always someone willing to pay more (even well over the odds) for some cars. Maybe we should start the NonRSOC?

That white one that went yesterday was a bargain at $2800. looked spot on for a project car. I was really dissapointed I missed buying that one, I really thought it would go for $4000-$5000

I know the guy who is selling the yellow shell on ebay. The guys I'm helping out wont consider it as its not complete and RS parts are very difficult to come by. Could turn into a money pit if you have to chase down all the bits and pieces. Make a good track/rally car though. |

My brother is selling a 2 door MK2 RS2000 project. It's mostly stripped but all parts are there, it still has running 2L, manual. it has the usual rust, some of which has been repaired, and some pannels are ready to paint. He wants around $1500 for it. It would be a good project for someone who wants to finnish the bodywork and put it back together.

Here it is before.
Here's as it sits. Keep in mind ALL parts, including glass, are there to complete it. The EFI pictured will not be included, it will have standard carby.

Im still searching for this car so I thought Id repost this.. A few other things the red RS had alarm with central locking, the aerial was on the centre front of the roof not the front guard, and at the time the driving lights used to blow the headlight fuse because they ran thru the headlight circuit and not a relay, all the black stuff ( grill, bumpers, trim ) were painted gloos black ,and the firewall had a small rust repair plate welded in due to the heater bubble rust , it had a pertronix ignitor electronic dizzy . The seats were retrimmed in black velour with 2 red sripes and it looked kinda old school because the seats had these buttons in them like an old lounge might have. If you think you may know someone who has a red 4 door that sounds like this one give me a yell.
I know that around 2002ish a guy that worked at unanderra NSW at a blinds place ( I think it may have been prescott blinds ) had it for sale. Cheers Shep |

I can't believe you still haven't found one!!!!
I ended up buying this white one featured here, but a mate cajoled it out of me when I needed cash to go oversea......I got my own back when I bought his restored car middle of last year. .....Just to add to the jelously, I bought another 2dr last week which is in awesome condition but need re-assembly. Easy-peasy resto for my weekends. I know of a 4dr auto for sale in Ballarat. I've been promised first dibbs on it as soon as I can get up there to look at it. Needs a total resto, but autos are mega rare and I'm looking to add that to the collection soon. I also know of a fire-damaged 4dr in storage down the south coast. Not sure if the owner wants to part with it but it only needs a re-paint down one side. If you get desparate for a project, PM me and I'll point you in the right direction. |
