My AU is not starting on the first turn of the key, when it does, you can feel and hear it slightly missing. Even taking off and driving in first, it happens, at higher speeds it seems to be ok. Probably thinking its the -Injectors or fuel pump, any one else had this problem and if so, what was it, or what could it be...??

When was the last time you serviced it fully? Hows your inlet manifold gasket or fuel filter? Could be spark too, so check your plugs, leads then coil. Clean out your ics too if its dirty. If the fuel pump is old, its good to change it too anyway. Good luck!

As maka said Coil pack/s, leads and plugs is a good place to start if its a miss. I usually replace all 3 when one is faulty as it doesn't take long for a problem with one of them to cause problems with the others.
If its a idle issue it could be a intake leak(usually intake manifold gasket or loose bolts on the v8 not sure about 6) dirty or seized isc, dirty throttle body and dirty MAF. Good luck |

Had the car 14 months now, and the guy i bought it off said he had changed the coil packs, but over the last 14 months, well, lets just say it could be that. Never thought it would stop the car turning over the first time. I did change the spark plugs and the leads when i got the car.

perhaps pull the plugs out noting which cylinders they came out of and see if any are off color compared to the rest, if there is one or two out of the ordinary start checking things pertaining to that/those cylinder/s.

Oh yeah, i forgot to add earlier, definitely clean the throttle body & check your o2 sensor too. I replaced my fuel pump, o2 sensor & my inlet manifold gasket (plus a bunch of other stuff) recently, now my vct is going great!
