Winford Motors at McGraths Hill (Windsor area) I bought my car there and get it serviced there and I live in the Sutherland Shire 40 kms away. They were reasonable on my trade in figure too.(2004 BA Classic) .Virtually gave me my wanted price without argument. Their sales staff are true professionals...best i've dealt with in 28 years of owning cars. Dominelli Ford at Kirrawee aren't too bad either. Whichever Ford dealer you go to you'll get the speel about tinted windows, paint and fabric protection at, what I think are, highly inflated prices...Don't be conned into this racket

Had a really good run at City Ford, however the salesperson I dealt with is no longer there so things may have changed.

Agreed on Dave Moore at Power Ford. Just bought a 08 Territory Ghia Turbo from him. RATT (Dean) at Peter Warren was very helpful also.
As always there will be salespeople at every dealer that don't do the right thing. Winford (where i bought my first Territory) pretty much didn't want to keep me as a customer. Their service department however is very good. You need to consider the after sales service also.

i have brought a couple of new cars recently and i would have to say this. every salesman should know the product and should have good backup service. I have dealt with Peter Warren and he is ok with sales but excellent with service. Klsoters of Newcastle are c####P and the guy at Gosford was a tool. Andrew Miedecke was ok but Mid Coast ford was excellent.
Just remember that ford has a rep of not training some of these guys. I know because they hurt my cars too many times in pre delivery and ford aus couldn't be more helpful. Oh and it help's if they can read and order the right car when you purchase it and it doesn't take 12 weeks to buy it because he couldn't read his own writing.

I cannot recommend Dominelli at Kirrawee, particularly their after sales service. I am even more disinclined to recommend Gregory's of Braddon (ACT).
Others that seemed to like their customers were, Southern at Goulburn, the one at Belconnen (ACT), Dale at Bankstown, and City at Arncliffe. It seems though that experiences can vary between people and the different dealers for some reason, but these were mine, and my impressions were pretty consistent over a number of visits to each.

I ended up getting the Mrs' Mini from Trivett at Parramatta (who were fantastic), but we had originally talked with Mini (BMW) Sydney. BMW Sydney didn't have a car that suited, and couldn't help as much with the trade in price. Although it didn't work out with Sydney that time, when I told them I had gone though Trivett, they were said they were pleased that I had found a suitable car and welcomed me to the Mini family anyway, and that if there was ever anything they could do, just to call. Now this was pretty unexpected and I wasn't looking forward to that call, but now I am in a dilemma over who to use in the future... A nice problem to have. Then I went to Sylvania BMW to get some maintenance products and their system was down so they couldn't get an invoice or do credit card payments etc, no mind they said "grab the stuff, what's your mobile no and we will call and get payment details next week". Wow, I had never had any involvement with this dealer, didn't buy (or will get my car serviced there) because they don't do Mini (except parts) anymore, they didn't know who I was or need any proof - just trusted me for $100 on my word. Nice (I paid the bill first thing the next week). All this goodwill didn't cost these dealers a cent, (possibly could have cost Sylvania $100 if I was an utter cheapskate though), but it was a very nice intro to another marque. Word of mouth (and keyboard) is powerful, and impressions last. Buying any car is a major decision for most of us, and second only to buying a home in importance. Being treated like crap, will not get repeat business from me.

hey guys thanks for the feedback, RATT I'm in bondi but don't mind the commute to a good dealer, hopefully it will be the last cupla drives in my XR6T ute. I have a test drive today in a XR5 focus today at City ford Darlo and then I'll shop around for the right car, hopefully one in blue or black with the leather interior

You should avoid Thomson ford at Parramatta like the plague. Both sales and service.
Brad Garlick would be my choice. |

Dale Ford I found have been great, speak to Karen Lloyd. No haggling, no BS, just results. Everything gets organised and I have bought several cars from her. Jorge in service is also a true champion who does his best to make sure you don't get ripped off.
