Dont think you can move the dash, centre console facia is the only way to get in there (I think)

Whet vents are you talking about. The vents that face the mirrors on the outside of the car, the vents that face the windsheild or the vents that face you.
You can remove the very front of the dash where the aircon vents on to the windsheild. Couple of philips head screws. Though good luck getting the wires there without removing the whole dash. The vents that face your mirrows are just sitting really snug in the dash. As far as I can tell they just clip onto the dash.

Yeah, the vent covers just clip into the dash, don't know where you could wire from there though.
Personally i reckon putting them in the a pillers is the best bet. You can get the a piller from ford (think au and ba are the same) so that it looks all facotry standard(what i did). if you put them in the dash facing the windscreen, they're proberly gonna sound a bit harsh, cause the sound has to bounce of the dash. Just my two cents

yeah i plan to use the mirror facing vents. if its that easy to pop them out, then i guess the trouble is still removing the dash to install the wiring.
how much of the dash do you have to remove to replace the a pillars? If its just the bit right at the windscreen edge, then i would consider that instead. Thanks for everyones help |

Was it chief that posted a while ago that these a pillar trims are no longer stocked? He may have been talking about tweeters I think? Not sure. It could have been mechanik1 also. Not sure now. If the AU and BA bits are the same though, no worries! GK

AU a pillar trims are not stocked anymore as far as I belive (thats what I have been told by dealers and here on the forums). You can still use BA ute items though. The AU and BA A pillar didn't change.
To remove the a pillar, the dash does not need to be removed. Just simply take the rubber seal off the a pillar, grab the top corner of the pillar and pull. It will just unclip. Be careful when taking it out of the dash and there are little bits off plastic that guise where the pillar goes and you dont want to snap them off.
