Hi All
Just thought i'd post pics of my falcon before and after the chromework i had done the other day. Before: After: Before: After: I reckon it looks great. It is not the factory chrome like on the futura's and Fairmonts etc, but just a roll of chrome pinstriping from supercheap auto. Hey, I'm stoked. Mate of mine did it for me for free. I fixed his PC of course : Let me know what you guys think! My proxy at work here is a little screwy. I hope that it links the images okay. Failing that, here are the basic links: http://content.imagesocket.com/image...ome_012518.jpg http://content.imagesocket.com/image...ome_0010ab.jpg http://content.imagesocket.com/image...ome_005761.jpg http://content.imagesocket.com/image...ome_00717b.jpg

Cheers for the kind words fellas. I certainly am like a kid with a showbag about it. Apparently the roll of pinstriping cost like $8 or something and the bloke had about 50cm left over.

Yep, I reckon pinstriping is perhaps the best low cost mod you can do. It really brings up a car.
Well done! GK

The striping is OK. I think the idea is good but you need to get the chrome strip stuff from the speed shops not just the striping kits.
I did mine with it and I like the look of the fatter chrome strip compared to the silver stripe. Have a look in my gallery and see what you think. The chrome strip stuff was $40 a roll and I needed two thats all. |

It looks good mate, but I agree with jonbays. I put the $5 chrome sticker stripes on my Fairmont, it was a cheap mod, and it looked like a cheap mod. I took it off and now I'm getting it done properly like jonbays did with the actual chrome piping. It depends on the car though, I think Fairmont's (like mine and jonbays) need the fat chrome strip, which looks like the Ghia has, but others look good with the detail sort of stripe like you've got. It's a bit more subtle. I think it's got to do with if the car has any chrome detailing on it to start with, then it makes it more obvious.

Maybe mine does look like a $5 job. But jonbays doesn't look like an $80 job in comparison.
