You may be forced to go Canadain or Mexican registration. Canada Not so bad d in the north (seattle/boston/newyork), but atlanta is a bit far.

Also heard of stealing a vin off a exisitng domestic US car (lincon or simular) and sticking it on the imported car. After all they do get nissan skylines (R32-R34) registered in the USA.
As for free trade involving Canada, you might want to do it soon as we have a large group of politicians working on ending Free Trade with the States! Heard it on the news a few days ago and apparently they mean it and are gaining momentum.

nah, these laws really bug me. Of all the old rusted polluting dangerous cars owned and sold in the states why do they have to be a ***** with newer cleaner cars. someones only worried about their back pocket clearly.

And my best bet is its the car manufacturers themselves making sure they sell more US built cars. and also eliminating EVs and ensuring that their cars will break just after the warranty period is over and that they use more fuel than is really required. gotta love conspiricy theories

After speaking with a company that does the EPA and DOT testing for manufacturers, they said that the government will not let me use any data from FPV or Ford (even if they shared it with us), and I will have to pay to get the engine EPA certified and have the cars crash tested for the DOT. There is allot of government paperwork that goes along with these tests, and in the end, we are looking at about $750,000 US and a years time for the testing and paperwork. The federal government tries to make it essentially impossible to bring a car in.

I was told that in the 1980s people were bringing in allot of cars from Germany, so Mercedes-Benz USA lobbied to get the laws changed because felt that they were losing money.



I still have one final possible way to bring in a car (at a reasonable price) for my personal use. I would need FPV to sell me a rolling chassis, completely finished, but without the engine and transmission. Then I could import it as a component vehicle, and install an engine and transmission after I got the car here. That is how Nobles, and Superformance cars are imported to the USA from South Africa.

What a load of crap...that really sucks.

What you are better off doing is waiting until 2008. Hopefully, and it better happen, FoA will have a LHD program and you will be getting some falcons anyway. I would assume it would be alot easier to get through the crap over there then.

Also the falcon around that time will be euro4 compliant.
