Screw the modular engines.....they are so overated....seriously mate I would go with the old windsor....it may not be the lastest technology nor the fastest....but it's proven technology and reliable....unfortunatly they are a little expensive to get big horsepower out of....but when or if you do they are so much more satisfying also they sound so much better then a any 5.4 or 4.6ltr V8.....!!!

Well mate I built a stroker for my AU ute and its cost me 15k plus.....so honestly I wish I did S/C....eventually I will throw a blower on it though.....just need the dollars!!! Go the AU mate styling is a little dated yes....but the BA to BF are so dodgey inside.....so much hard plastic....nearly looks like a Commodore interior!!!

Have a look on some US websites and see what has the best bang for buck....in thinking the power outputs will be dame close....for the same amount of boost....will be interesting!!!
Best thing is they both have the BLUE OVAL....thats the most important thing!!! Goodluck!!!

.. I never understand how they fit all that junk in the engine bay for a turbo on a V8? Either S/C, stroker or bigblock replacement ..
Anyway, regarding Windsor or 3V .. I agree with others above; have you actually driven both to see which one you like? |
