Around 12 months ago i changed my drive belt and pulley which i think is the VCT pulley which is the upper pulley next to the Power steering pump. Only VCT motors have them!
Anyways its been making alot of noise and i had a look and its become lose as its actually grinding against the block. Weird thing is if it was the wrong pulley it would have done that when i put it on the first time and not after a year?? Any suggestions, could it be a faulty pulley?? I cant drive or turn the car on as i dont want to damage anything!!! |

replace ur pulley immediately, make sure the new one is tight as well. do not use the old one as it will be damaged. make sure the bolt is ok as well. the pulley has failed, wierd that it happened in a year, but more then likely the bolt has worked lose cuasing the failure. give ford a ring for part no, and ring around for cheapest. someone on here may even be able to help u out. try in the parts wanted and sales threads. hope this helps

Well i had a look to see if the bolt was lose, and it was on tight. I'm assuming the pulley or bearing inside SH#@T itself.
I was really worried there for a second. I thought it may have been my cam or chain or something major!! Hope thats the problem |
