Hi looking for a cheap xr motor as mine is on the way out main bearings are worn and I have lifter problems. If anybody can help that would be great.

you may well be better off getting yours repaired......
rings/bearings/balance, throw in a cam/lifters/valvesprings while its apart would only cost a bit more than getting hold of another standard motor, and you'd have all that much more performance |

Try FTG - they quoted me around $3500 for AU1 175kw V8 with auto trans and ECU, so the motor itself might be had for half that. No difference between internals of the 175kw and AU1 XR donks - just extractors and tune was the only difference, really.

Theres a Tseries 220kw motor for sale on ebay, the ones with the alloy heads, says its done 80,000 odd kms and in melbourne for $3500.
