Default check under your roofline rubbers

i was shown yesterday that the rubbers on the body of my lane around the doors are completely removable with just a light tug

which allows access to the "gutter" allowing me to clean out all the bits of dirt and trees and stuff that gather in there that i never knew how to get out

you just pull on it to remove it.. from the top of the windscreen along the roof line to the back

mine has a small piece of rust forming due to the build up right at the back which is going to be treated ASAP

hope this helps some people

Good information there .... it is one of the places that along of crap gets caught and after rain/sun/rain ... etc. It'll eventually cause some surface rusting and also damage paint as well.

One of my work colleagues removed his strip on his car and then had it filled and painted over so it has the smooth look ... but that's is a lot of work involved (he was getting the car resprayed at the same time as well.

Yes that's one thing I have loved about my series 1
The rubbers are not as chunky as S2 and they can be totally removed as they just sit there
S2 and 3's are pretty much locked in place so you have to tug on them

The gutter areas of mine are like brand new still since I've removed both sides during drying process
