Hi guys, just a quick question, I'm a little bit unsure about how important this is, I suspect not a lot but want to know anyway. I had the car lowered a while back now, anyway, I was just looking at the sway bar mounts and I noticed the front shocks (Boges) are mounted with the brake line hook facing inwards towards the engine bay, rather than towards the wheel. Being an AU1 it doesn't matter since there are no clips on the brake lines, but does it make any difference to the setup if it's mounted this way? Also the spring on the right isn't seated right down to the bit on the shock where it should sit, it's about a centimetre up from there. I'm going to ring the bloke tomorrow, I want the spring sitting correctly, but is the shock being mounted opposite to the way it should be an issue? Cheers, Matt.

ive got a au3 falcon and i have xr8 au1 suspension in my car they don't have the clips and are just zipped tied on and it works fine so i don't think it would matter

I thought they may have done it to keep the hooks out of the way of the brake lines. As for the spring, having the spring sitting off the stop would theoretically make the spring seem longer and thus sit higher wouldn't it?

yea the hooks are there to hold the break lines, umm yea bout the suspension defently get that looked at u could prb fix it yaself

I could, but that's not the point is it. I paid for it to be done, I want it done right. I shouldn't really have to run around after people and fix up their mistakes, I just don't have time. I'll see what he says tomorrow anyway...
