Default Its a Sad & happy week

Well I think Ive sold my Beloved AU2 XR8. It has been a fantastic 3 1/2 years and I must say for those that are intending to purchase an AU or have no intention of selling, I have great respect for you all.

The car will always remain in my heart and I must say that i hope my new purchase wont dissapoint me.

lets talk new purchase. Well Im looking at a Red BF GT Mk1 (Brand New) Yes they are still around. Manual & red with White striping. Also has Leather.
The deal is pretty awsome so it Ive gotta be quick.

Im still a little bit concerned with Red and its potential to fade. But you would think performance car would have prestige pain. Must say that Red with the White looks awsome.

Anyway I will keep you updated

Layer some good Carnauba based wax on that beauty and you will be fine, my reccomendation would be P21S a very easy wax to apply and maintain. (do polish first etc.... though!!) PM me if you need any advice.

Good luck with the new ride, sounds beautiful.

Be a shame to see the AU go, was one of the best looking XR's on the forums IMHO, the rims just suited it oh so well.

Thanks for that B2tf. The guy doesnt live to far from me so i will probably see it on the road. It will kill me seeing it driven by another owner. If i had the funds i would have definately kept it. But sometimes in life you have to sacrifice things and this time its the AU.

Congrats on your purchase.

As much as Im not fan of red fords, a GT with the white stripes is very impressive on the road. When you say new, do you mean from a dealer?

Grats on the purchase

Man, if I could sacrifice my AU and get a BF GT, she'd be on the altar in a flash! Sounds good though, the red will look schmick and with a bit of care should last the duration. Well done!

Well the good news is my car has sold and it will be gone tommorrow. Not really good news as I will miss it alot.

Anyway went today hoping to finalise the purchase of the GT and guess what? It didnt happen.

I always like someone else look over it and I took my brother. He has a very good eye.

He found that doors did not appear to be aligned properley and were not flush. We pointed it out to the dealer and he said you are spot on and we cant tell you why its like that as its a brand new car. So they are having someone in tomorrow to check it out. Im a bit dissapointed. They will call me tomorrow and let me know what the problem is. I hope its fixable as apart from that the car is awsome.

Oh well no sleep tonight again

yep sure are but a T3 takes off like the BF is standing still both in stock trim :
I was going to do the same, getting out of my AUXR8S3 but just couldn't go past a T3, heaps of $$ left in my pocket and depreciation couldn't get much worse.
Red with white stripes look good though and good luck with your purchase.

Without turning this into yet another T3 V GT debate, what sort of differnce would you say there was between a BF GT A6 and a T3 A4 like yours?

On the 1/4 they run pretty much the same time around a 14 dead.

Pm me if you dont want to take this off topic.

It's what's in the red paint that is the problem
Definately put some wax or sealant and wax on it
P21s is a great looks wax but won't last very long at all
