Default steering rack

hey all,bit of background first, my old man has a 2000 falcon forte which we bought brand new in dec 2000 so far its only done 59,700kms and we did a tranny service the other day and noticed the steering rack on the left side is leaking a bit of oil.
just wondering is this a common problem and if it is can it be fixed with new boots or does it need a whole new rack, help would be much appreciated
cheers.

Also about $100-150 from the wreckers ... and $200 for a reco one.

I put a reconditioned one in the work ute ... and it has been going strong for about 100,000km now.
