Two, you need to check your figures, the GT makes 290kW, the F6 makes 270kW (and do you really care about 17kW).

Three, you say on paper the R8 beats the GT, if your refering to 1/4 mile times, of course it will, but unless your taking it on the track i don't think many people would care about a few tenths of seconds.

So its nice of you to introduce a third option, but could you please back your suggestion with more than just stating the basic specs (which were wrong).

BAM!
17kw dont mean twat, and when you have that much power it doesnt matter cause you wont use it on the street anyway.
With regards to the F6 v GT, drive both and then make up your mind. What do you want the car for, who's gonna use it. etc

I was thinking the same thing while reading this thread. The GT is FUN, the typhoon is practical.

You will not get tired of the blow off valve - you can hardly hear it. The torque is awesome in the phoon, and it is a fantastic everyday car. My missus decided on a BF 2 instead of the typhoon based on the great deal we could get.

But if you want a great "blokey" car, the GT is it. It has balls! Burnouts, looks, sound, road presence, the feel it right, so I bought the GT-P. But it is not as good a car dynamically as the typhoon or have as much mid range usable hp.

So use your head or your heart to chose after you have taken a tester of each home for the weekend.

F6 for me... 550Nm from 2000rpm Amen. But test drive them both as everyone is saying. If I was looking for a V8 and had the $$ I would go Clubsport.

USA, Germany, Italy, Japan (and more).

But yeah, the GT (as a package) is hard to beat IMO.

Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Trev has owned several boosted fords and has really contributed a lot of info on them. His posts in the bike section are also very helpful. I think he should be recognised as a technical contributor.
