Default warm fuzzy

As a relative newcomer to this forum I thought I needed to express my thanks to the collective wisdom of all who congregate here. Two weeks ago we collected our 2002 model Series3 Fairmont. We have since had some small issues but Fordforums has given us peace of mind and saved us dough:

1. It had a dicky climate control/digital display (I knew that before I bought it) but got it fixed for $120 with a 12 month warranty... thanks Ayhan! Discussed here: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...hlight=display

2. The DAY AFTER we got the car my son discovered the left-hand front electric window switch didn't work. Fixed it in ten minutes thanks to Racecraft's tutorial: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...ghlight=switch No cost!

3. Replaced gas struts on the bootlid... via the Gasstrutboys (mentioned somewhere in Fordforums - I couldn't find the link)... $34 including postage.

4. Heater climate control decided to do its own thing... fixed by resetting it as decribed here: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...hlight=climate No cost!

5. Smartlock remote stopped working... fixed by re-packing the battery as decribed here: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...ghlight=remote No cost!

So as you can imagine, we are pretty happy at our place. Thanks again, everyone!

FYI: 2002 AU3 Fairmont, black premium paint (blue pearl?), Tickford wheels, suspension & spoiler, premium sound, 67ks. My wife loves it and so do I.
