So im finishing my HSC in 6 days YAY! Then im getting a better job asap to save the needed 2-3grand extra I will have to have after I sell my 1990 integra to get an AU falcon...
The question is, ive heard bad things about AUI brakes... Should I save up a lil extra to get an AUII or an AUIII instead of buying the AUI? Or should I just buy and AUI and go to a wreckers or sumthing to get the newer model brakes...? Cheers |

My personal preference would be save a bit more and go for the series 2 or 3.

Yeah the series two had a big facelift from the series one. inside and out. as au3xr6 said "you won't regret it".

Probably try for series 2 or 3, but I dont find mine THAT bad, I mean, I hit my fair share of animals when I dont pull up in time (or forget to brake), but they still stop when they need to.

slotted rotors and some decent pads will have you pulling up well enough
but a brake upgrade is ALWAYS handy..

you can upgrade the front brakes at home easy as if you know how to turn a spanner
all the parts you can get via your local auto shop (supercheap..autobarn.. bursons.. etc or a brake shop) for the AU2 upgrade you will want to head to the wreckers and get all the parts listed in the AU to BA brake upgrade listed as a sticky on the aufalcon.com forum section..

you will need stubaxles (with the ABS sensors fitted) hubs lower control arms stabiliser bar calipers and rotors

I actually did do a S1 upgrade, with slotted discs and good pads all round, but the performance still wasn't up to scratch.
