Default 2.5" inch exhaust too quiet!

I have Competition pacemaker extractors and a redback exhaust with one muffler and one resonator.

Problem is it's too quiet. You can only hear it when you plant it and really it doesn't sound any louder than the old XE 250ci. With the windows up at a 100 all you can hear is the rustle of what I assume are the extractors.

My neighbours EL is louder and my mates HZ Kingswood 202ci sounds gold at idle and cruising around.

I wanna hear my 244ci ticking over at idle. What do I do?

Sleekism. When i had my eb i ran a 2 1/2inch redback system with only the centre muffler (no extractors) and it was quite a loud note, even on idle.. definatly got attention. Suprised your not too happy with your set-up

Do the exhausts get louder after a while?

If not it should be fairly easy to delete the resonator?

They do get louder awhile after you first get them but thats bout all.
Thats right its no dramas getting rid of one if you wanted, my old man just took a muffler of his xr6t, im thinking of taking the hotdogs off the rear on the xr. Seems we all want to be that bit more louder lol.. except stav that is :hihi: (sorry over-killed the 3" joke my bad) *slowly backs away into the crowd*

I took the resonator off my old AU XR6 and it dramatically improved the sound of the car, just a tiny little bit of drone

I've put a 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent with pacey's on my old series 1 6cyl with only one muffler it sounded sweet. You could hear it at idle and when you give some throttle it was loud.

RUDIKN- i'm running twin 2 1/2's on my XR8 and only 1 muffler on each side then into twin 3 inch after the mufflers and it doesnt drone on the hwy but it sounds mean. Turns heads at idle and give it some and everyone in the street look's :evil3:
