i just brought a new cd player, and the pouch to take the place of my double din premium sound head unit. i have tried to put coat hangers in those holes to remove the H/U but it wont budge.
anyone got any tips on how to remove it. cheers

Here’s a tip, try the search button. You’re going to loose speakers with an aftermarket unit, having said that there is a thread here somewhere detailing how to keep them all operational

and heres the thread which allows you to use the sub and the amp with an aftermarket headunit. i followed these exact insturctions and it worked an absolute treat.

lol basically did that mechan1k, i took my car to ford, tried myself with no luck, took it to autobarn still no luck, while at autobarn we decided to use more force, broke the faceplate off of the H/U. this wrecked it, so we bent all the mountings out and pulled it out that way. once it was out we found the culprit. someone had snapped off the end of a small file in one of the holes.
