yeah I used fishing line and then some plastic cleaner. I cant remember right now what its called, but its in a thinish squareish container. Thats a really bad description but I used it to clean plastics before I painted them, its works wonders but its very very fumey.
Dont used a butter knife...lol..no matter how steady you think your hand is!

OK I will admit to being a badge engineer.
I removed the prissy looking "fairmont" off the back of the wagon and replaced it with an EF "Falcon" badge. I also added the tickford wings badges to the guards and grille. Then I got carried away and added old XT GT 230HP badges to replace the intech OHC badge which I then moved to the Rh tailgate to balance the falcon badge on the Lh tailgate. Yes I know how ricey and ****y badge engineering is but I just reckon it looks much better. No I wouldn't go as far as putting XR6 or turbo badges on it. Well not unless I turbo it. |

I've had the SE sticker removed. I think that's it. I'm pretty sure the Falcon badge is still there...

My dads Pursuit got badged several times. While at work he parked across the road and some kids came and took the FPV badge. He bought a new one for $40 and they took that the next week...he bought another and was watching his car all day and saw a couple of people running off but never managed to get them. Now he only has the FPV logo part to the left of the FPV text remaining...they got away with the writing part of it.
If I caught them man they would be dead edit: forgot to add that they took the badges of with keys or something and left a quite annoying mark on the back of the car. Last edited by matt6n; 06-06-2005 at 02:47 PM. |

Yeah that kind of vandalism is gay.
A friend of the family had their Lexus badge prized with a screwdriver of the back of their LS 430. Left quite a nasty gouge on the paint of this otherwise immacualte car. Not cool. If the guy didn't damage the paint maybe the guy did you a favour getting rid of the Forte badge. Seriously what were the guys a Ford thinking when they came up with Forte.

Im so angry at the moment. I need some help. I dont think any chemical is going to get it off without killing my paint. I think I should take it to a panel beater.... Or mabey drive my car off a cliff, its amazing how something as little as that makes the whole car.

actually come to think of it: its looking a lot like glue... mabey super glue Yep thats it... the prepsol has done its job but there is glue left behind. Is there anyway to get rid of glue without damaging the paint?

If it is super glue or something like that, acetone will eat that up (also known as nail polish remover) So god raids the wife's drawer in the bathroom.
