Default Radio problem

I recently came by a nice NEW in-dash 6stack CD and Cassette player for Lucifa and it went in with a little mod but I cannot get the Steering wheel switches to work with it. I did try the AU2-3 switches but still no joy. I am guessing that the makers of the radio in their wisdom decided to change the pin arrangement?

The electrician at work has no clue nor do any of the mechanics but, I thought someone here might be able to help? :

Thanks in advance....

Wasn't there an issue with using AU2-3 gear in the AU1?

All the best with it.

yes the wiring is different from series one to series 2 and without a complete dash change it will not work as i involves the BEM the difference is to do with the steering wheel controls and the speed alert where fitted

Do the series 2/3 stereos work in series 1 though? I don't have the steering wheel controls so that's not an issue, just thinking about popping a later model CD head unit into mine as I'm not overly keen to go aftermarket.

Ok, thanks for that. Will explore aftermarket options instead.
