Default AU 1 to 3 Suspension Differences

Hey all i cleverly brought a "NEW GENUINE TICKFORD AU SUSPENSION KIT"before checking it would fit... thought it said it would but now reading it again it actually says "Will Fit All AU Sedans With Live Beam Rear Axle . ." this could be taken as All AUs or AU Series 1's...
just wondering if this kit will fit a Standard AU Series 3 Falcon Forte... and just how much it will lower it...
If it doesn't fit what exactly is different between S1 and S3... (eg. only front struts)

I recently found out theres a difference between (AU) and (AU2 & AU3) stub axles (steering knuckle in some books) and also lower control arms (due to different position of the sway bar)
BUT....I doubt this would affect the lowering kit, as I **think** the struts and springs might be same in all three variants

It means its for au's with live axle, not irs in the rear. The fronts will be the same.

Front and rear springs are the same. Only difference in front shocks is the shocks for AU2/3 have a little hook on them for them brake lines. If you don't have that hook, a cable tie works just as well - basically the hook sits just above the lower mounting bolt on the strut. When I did my AU1 to AU2 brake and lower control arm & uprights, I used the existing AU1 shocks, and just cable tied the brake line to the bottom of the shock mounting bit.

No worries - $355 - bloody good price - just a full set of kings would cost you that! And in addition you basically get free Monroe Gas shocks (painted Tickford red) for free.

Pretty much spot on there.

Not a bad price for the kit either.
