Thinking about getting the XR8 re-trimmed in leather or trying to locate a interior at a wreckers( a wrecker near me has a black leather interior for $1000 unsure of condition though). Any thoughts on which would be the better option and also if anyone on the forum has done this to an AU XR8 in the past what was the approx cost.
Cheers.

Approx Cost = $2000 - 3000.
That would do all door trims, seats, console lid, handbrake boot all that type of thing. It would be definately worth it, over a $1000 Original set, unless you want to keep it original. Cheers

Grab the interior from the wreck for $1000 if the condition is ok. Did the same to my wifes 75th Anniversary Futura, black leather interior from a XR8 wreck.
Finished off the car nicely. |

I got a good condition black leather XR interior for mine for $900 a year or so ago, $1000 is still pretty good if it's straight. Be aware though that Ford 'leather' is just the facings, the sides and backs of the seats are actually vinyl.
