Default Finally lowered!!

Well after much mucking around I finally decided to order my suspension bits and do the job!! I Have to say IRS AU would be the simplest car I have ever lowered in my life! Took about 3 hours all up with no air tools which Im pretty happy with . I decided to go with Kings and KYB shocks. I got everything for $750. So even if the shocks dont last more than couple of years its not a major. It seems a good combo though. Nice ride but firm still. Once wheel alignment sorted and springs settle it will be even better!!! Ill post pics tonight.... : :

They are lows. I guess looking at the pics it does not seem that low. But I started out with series one 4WD ride height. I remember the kings in my ED dropped heaps after about 300km and these ones are only 20kms old so I am hoping for a little more of a drop out of them once they settle.

Yeah I was looking at your car wondering if you had forgotten to add the "after" pics, but as you said, give it some time to settle. Take some pics when they do though!

my lows dropped my car about 1.5"

but im guessing that is for 2 reasons.

the springs were secondhand with no idea how many kays on them, and b, my shocks are screwed. :

just chuck a heap of crap in the boot. itll make it lower!

My SR is on gas, so with the extra weight in the bood, that makes the car sit even.

Lots go King Lows on the front and SL on the back or SL on front and SSL on rear, to get that even level.

I wouldn't mind going lower with mine. I'm currently on lows and when i back out of the driveway, the back left tire goes right up into the guard and i have about 1-2 cms of clearance on the tail pipe from the ground. Any lower and i'll probably end up with a reverse dump pipe

This car is an example of the 4WD height. The wheels went on last night and now it is said that the whole car will have to be lowered :-s but its not my car so i dont have to cough up with the money to lower it. This is Daniel_rossy's new AU and now it supprising looks preety good. better than it was anyways.

why does everyone seem to be fitting lower springs to the rear... ??

when i first did mine.. i hated the fact the car looked to sit lower at the rear... even tho it's just coz the front guards are higher to allow the wheels to turn.. but the car sits level...
