Can anyone tell me the differences between the AU 2 XR8 pursuit ute and standard AU 2 xr8 ute. i have done some limited research and found that they have the same power output so what is the advantage of the pursuit?

From memory the Pursuit was a limited edition that came out with the 200kw engine before the standard XR8 ute upgraded to 200kw. Standard still had 185kw but went to 200kw shortly after Pursuit.
The pursuit had a couple of extra features but I cant remember what they were. |

Body kit standard and colour coded mirrors.
I think they also came with sports bar, but it was a long time ago. |

Owning one from new, they are a 2001 model, all being built in january 2001(about 400 of them) it was a $1000 package ontop of the normal XR8 ute price, and for that 1k you got a unique body kit, side skirts, rear bar skirts and front winglets, rollbar, pursuit badging on the side skirts, and the 200kw engine.
All other stuff like momo steering wheels, shifters, and leather seats were options just like any other XR option. Here's a pic: [IMG][/IMG] |
