Times are relative. I'm sure many hardcore drag racers look at 13 or even 12 second cars and think they are slugs too.

Mid 14's for the i6 is good, i love and respect these cars, better value for mods, there lighter easier to drive.
i look at it like this i have an BA xr8 Auto stock standard this car does around 14.2 to 14.4 sec pass...Same goes for some new stock standard 290 auto's i have seen 14.0. is around the norm.
i am at Calder 90% of there meets, i know what times cars are doing in the real world..

Personally the only time that counts to me is the time Hamo's car has run. Why? Cause thats the benchmark I have set my car against. All other times are not relevant to me in my mind...
I race for my own PB's and against my own chosen benchmark at the time. If I happen to run good times then maybe someone will benchmark against my car... thats their choice.

Check out the v8 owners site. They arrange track days every few months or so. Its a way better environment than having to queue up at wsid on a wednesday for hours for a couple of runs...

My goal is a 0-100 time of 5.5 -6.9 seconds.I don't care to compete with others on the forum even though its great to hear people getting these times.

I have to say that ford has done no one any favours with performance .We always seem to be modifying and adding to try and make them a bit more exciting.

Fair suck of the sauce bottle Useless, you havent exactly bought the performance model... IMHO FORd should get a thumbs up for making the taxi pack base models reliable and strong enough for those that are so inclined to extract more power

I agree with you there.The cars arent too bad.When you see my wagon ,you wouldnt look at it twice.But it does go well..now. ..The performance vehicles could have been alot quicker if ford really wanted to..thats all I am saying.
