Default Melbourne motorsport activities between 30/6 and 10/7?

We are just wondering what motorsport activities may be happening in Melbourne between 30/6 and 10/7? We have to take our 19 year old son to Melbourne for cancer treatment and are looking for anything to help take his mind off things as much as we can. Anything such as drags or drive days would be great. If there was something he could drive his or our car in would be great also. (He only has one leg but has his licence). Any info would be greatly appreciated.
