Default mkII john bowe special. is it special?

Friend told me at his work they have a John Bowe Special XR8 for sale.
John Bowe enhanced..BA MKII, XR8, Orange, Manual, 70,000km for $27k..
Over 20k spent on enhancement.
now im not sure if the enhancements are aftermarket or he means the factory JB extras.
i feel that its not a special buy. anyone disagree?

Wouldn't be a John Bowe special per se, but I would say it just has aftermarket John Bowe pieces fitted. He did brake, suspension, exhaust, wheel, CAI and other bits.
It wouldn't really be a special buy, no more than a car fittted with Herrod (I know he does development but he also does a fair bit of bagde engineering too) bits would be a special buy.

It must have all the John Bowe gear on it for $20K+ as his gear included air intake, exhaust, suspension, brakes, and I think maybe wheels. Sinclair Ford in Penrith NSW sell this equipment and there was an article in Wheels magazine a couple of years ago.

I tend to agree. $20k is a fair few bits and pieces.

This is his website.
