Is it possible to put BA into AU front seats without to many drama's? Anybody done this?

I've tried it.
Front is easy, rear is not possible due to the difference in design. BUT i tried it in my fairlane. If the fairlane rear seat is exactly the same shape as falcon based models then no you won't fit a BA seat in. |

Fairlane rear seat is wider
This can be done but you need to have the rails changed so the BA seat is on AU rails

its a weld job for the ba seats, not an impossible task if your not a bad welder, mate did it in his au but the welds were shockin,lol

so the fronts are easy? its only the rear thats hard?

Bomber did BA XR seats in his AU XR6. As has already been said, it required welding.

Yeah the wreckers out at Macarthur Parts Plus in NSW said no swap, nothing lines up re bolts etc.
I'd be worried insurance if you had BA's welded onto AU rails. UK

you only need an engineers certificate to say its done properly which then makes it fine for insurance purposes.
and the cert is only required IF you modify or swap out the standard rails if your new seat bolts onto the old rails then your sweet to go
