I got it and hate it. That is the australian content. The english stuff is great.

They are just copying the style and its bad.

Next month there will be more oz content and less English so will be worse.

I'd buy the UK version.

Motor is crass

Wheels at least teaches us about the cars a bit.

I enjoyed the read and if it keeps to this level, I will give Wheels the flick.

Ditto, especially now that www.wheelsmag.com.au is pretty much an electonic version of the magazine.

I'm already subscribing to Top Gear Australia magazine and I wont renew my wheels magazine subscription once it expires.

Thumbs up

Got a copy today.
Love some parts, hate other and tolerate the rest.
Much better then wheels/motor which are too dull.

Top Gear Mag needs few months to get the aussie style we all expect, and get rid of some ads (there's one on every other page- just like COSMO : )

One thumb up

Pitty they made the mistake of saying the XR6T is a V6 rather than I6. Pretty big stuff up IMO...

I GOT A CAP TOO! Niiiiiiiicce!!
yeh awesome read! And I cannot believe how many times ive seen an fg in it! whether its an ad or a write up its in there way way way more than any other mag has previously had them in.
The style of journalsim is right up our ally and the car magazine section really needed this fresh new face on the stands.
Tho I am suprised at how much money the top car brands have spent on foldout or 2 page advertising of their top models. I did not think potential buyers of such expensive cars would read this kind of magazine which I would assume the majority market would be 18-40yr olds (trying very hard not to steriotype here) not some high profile judge type guys with massive paypackets that could buy 2 of these cars if they wanted. but on the other hand its also about "spreading the word" about their cars to the audience of the car market.

Tuned in last night to watch Jeremy's review on the HSV R8, which was advertised in the mag to be shown, but it wasn't on... :

They would have written I6 and some smart sub would have thought gee they have pressed the wrong key and substituted an I where there should be a V. You can guarantee that was the way it went down.
