Question Lowering au xr6

Gday guys just wanted to find out off people in the know or who have done this before. How much am i looking at to get my auI lowered?? just a ball park figure. Also do you recommend pedders or king springs?? I had my old zk fairlane lowered with king springs and the ride was very stiff. I'd appreciate any feedback thanks
ps it is an IRS xr6 vct
