Default Ford Discovery Centre Voted One Of Victoria's Top Tourism Experiences

The Ford Discovery Centre has been voted one of Victoria's Top 101 Tourism Experiences and will feature in a one hour 'Postcards' television special on Channel 9 Melbourne on Friday 26 September 2008 at 7:30pm.
More than 600 attractions were nominated as part of the competition, which registered more than 72,000 votes. The top experience will be announced during the show.

"We are thrilled to be a finalist and will be watching the show with great anticipation, hoping we might claim number one spot," said Ford Discovery Centre Director, Mark Giles.

The Ford Discovery Centre is located in Geelong, the home of Ford in Australia, and showcases the Motor Company in an entertaining and educational environment. More than 20,000 people visit the centre each year.

"There are more than 30 constantly changing cars on display, as well as interactive exhibits and presentations," said Mr Giles.
"It really is more than just a car museum."

The Ford Discovery Centre is a not for profit Charitable Trust and is supported by Ford Australia and Deakin University. It is open from 10am to 5pm every day, except Tuesdays.

Yipee! Looks like our voting counted for something.
Wish I lived closer so I could go more often!
