Hey guys,
Hoping to get photos off a friend, who saw something strange yesterday around the South East.... SADLY, not FORDS.... Most likely from the You Yangs Crowd.... But interesting all the same... Saw a Left Hand Drive Holden Captiva - with Chev badges all over it, and a nice big sticker on the rear window "LEFT HAND DRIVE" Also, a massivly camo'ed large sedan, which was also left hand drive. Not sure if this was a Cadillac/Chevrolet but definately was NOT a local car. I'll see if I can post the photos up here when my buddy gets back from Bairnsdale.... But I thought i'd throw it out there, and see if anyone was aware of something from the 'other team' LH/Drive that was NEW and due next year.... large car sector? I'll keep y'all posted

We see camoflauged cars down here quite often and some times if your lucky you get to see the smashed test cars as well. |

The Captiva (read Daewoo) is sold under the Holden name here and Chev and other brands in other different markets. GM owns 50.9% of Daewoo. |

The camoflauged one is proberly the FWD V6 Falcon ....... or it could be the twin turbo V10 HO? :
I do see heaps of LHD test vehicles about. Alot of the time they are testing a particular upgrade to engine or other part that may be standard on a simular vehicle overseas. Cheaper to bring one over than converting the existing car here. | [/url] |

I see a Camaro on the Monash at least once a week, sometimes every day down my way out east.
Have also seen quite a few LHD Pontiac G8s as well. None are in camo anymore though, I think Holden have given up on that by this stage.

falcons are not going v6 and are sure as hell not going to be front wheel drive. the I6 is here to stay well past 2010. they are just making some changes, like making it euro 4 compliant. |

I've seen a 5thGen Camaro SS in Ferntree Gully on Burwood Highway with the left hand drive sticker. Not a bad looking car close up. Pitty I didn't have a camera on me.
