Just can the whole show. The current UK version has better cars, presenters, locations and stunts.

Ditto that.......

The whole TG thing relies so much on personality , metaphor, quick wit and comedic substance...........the cars are almost secondary sometimes........

Perhaps we should just ship over our current crop of Aussie cars and get the TG UK team to test em out.........: .........

Good. No more Holden loving hosts. His biased opinions in the R8 Vs F6 test were obvious.

This is good news for us punters, it's good to see that the producers are listening to us, now just make sure there are more decisions and opinions, and less fence sitting.

Not to mention the fact that he thought the Holden 4.2L V8 was a great engine.

new series should be a bit better for sure. Really on a hiding to nothing when comparing to the original version anyway. The show revolves around Jeremys quick wit and presentation. Very hard to match ,they prob would have been better trying a different direction to try and avoid comparison at least untill the show could stand on its own.

They should have instantly sacked him as soon as he said that. Anyone who thinks the 253 is a great engine has absolutely no credibility whatsoever.

That's a shame, my mate had a HX Premier wagon with the 4.2, slow as buggery but it never let us down. Also ran a charm on gas so cheap motoring!

A friend of mine had a HG Kingswood 3 speed on the tree manual 253cu.
It did the job back in the 70's and went OK after he fitted a 308 4 barrel and carby.
Naturally you cannot compare it to a modern mtr for performance but it was fairly reliable mtr. I doubt you would get the high Km's without problems from the current V8's on offer

BEST SUGGESTION YET !!

Just the bloke to replace that Nissan PlayStation loving wombat, he would definitely add a bit of FUNNY humor. Yeah he's a clown but that's the point.

Seriously though...I think James Morrison is an interesting choice and I wish him well, let's see what happens...pray it doesn't end up being an SBS version of "The Car Show" .... sleep: ...sorry... I must have dozed off there for a minute...

A friend of mine had a HG Kingswood 3 speed on the tree manual 253cu.

From my dimmest memory that car was marketed as White Hot

I thought the TG series was great and it highlighted the engineering skill of the local product

It is easy to criticise but hard to create.

Someone who educate's does not in the same breath have to be entertaining

Have a great Xmas and New years

Tend to disagree on that point, especially when it comes to TV and TG.

It is entertainment first and education second. If I can be entertained while I learn .... great! If I want to learn and not be entertained, I'll read a manual.

I couldn't agree more. On the final episode when they compared the Falcon XT with the Commodore Omega, what he said sounded like he was trying to blame Ford for the financial crisis by investing money into FG's development or something like that. I have to see the episode again. But it wasn't all bad as he had to admit the Falcon was a better car.

James Morrison 'ey? What do you know, he used to host another car show in 1994 (as someone mentioned before) called "Behind The Wheel" with that Monica woman from Playschool.
He is the pilot

I tend to agree. If it is the same block as i am thinking of, his interview as a star etc on TGA was boring and his personality quite bland.

But perhaps when he is the one asking the Q's he might liven up a bit
