Default Stall Converter question

Does the V8 use the same stally as the I6?
its just a have a spare stally from my old car and wanna get it changed too a 3000rpm stallyand ram it in the xr8 gearbox to get rid of that slow take off

nope different converters from v8 and 6, not interchangeable.

thats a shame, v8 convertors on au`s have a 200 rpm higher stall speed.

josh, what stall speed is the 6cyl one? is it stock?

its actually out of a ba xr6 turbo 4 speed trans. so what ever that stall speed is
