The FG has not recored more than 10l/100km since new (based on fill up and kays travelled) trip meter, not reset since purshe in Oct and after 13000km is 9.1l/100km. See link to the best RANGE after a trip back from melbourne.

best so far is 8.8l/100km on a trip to Coffs.

And I love the loud pedal too - just lucky that 100Km if contant F3 traffic..avg speed on the meter is 70km/h (not reset in 13,000km)

One weekend in October I drove my G6E from Sydney to Melbourne and back. Averaged 7.8/100kms for the whole trip. Given that the reading was 7.9 on the way down, to finish with a total trip average of 7.8, I must have got 7.7 on the way back. Have done 2 others trips that were even better - a 7.6 from Coonabarabran to Sydney and an outrageous 6.6 on a shorter freeway run (basically downhill!) from Mittagong to the north western suburbs of Sydney - this one was a blatant economy run, but I was stoked. Haven't gone close to replicating it since. If you're in a G6E you really should be able to manage sub 8 on a country trip.

What average speed is that at....when you say burb's do you mean, like sydney/melb suburb driving????. which would include some 80klm area's.
