you could also try your local auto parts store, ie repco, supercheap, etc. they sell them to. do you have an aftermarket head unit or the factory one?

well providing it has a power output for an electric aerial then it should work, basically it has a power, ground and signal wire, so as long as the head unit can output signal then it should be ok. the best thing to do would be to pull off the trim inside the passenger side wheel well where the normal aerial is and see if there is a plug or anything in there to plug into

Isn't the electric aerials on futuras standard?
My 99 futura has one, so I don't think it would be too hard to get it to work. Reception is fantastic!

If you can send me your fax number via PM, I call fax the two pages out of the workshop manual to you on Monday.

It will give you an idea as to what is involved.

Alternatively, you could pick up a manual from an auto parts shop.

On any Premium Sound System here Ford will not let you order power aerials
as the parts that slide in each other generate static as it shakes in the wind

Thats how it was for me, only thing you cant control on a series 1 is the height its either up all the way or down. Easy mod

well being that you're in america i'd say theres a chance that the actual aerial design would be different here, ive never heard of any reception problems with premo sound from aerials causing static

afaik just a philips head screwdriver, also it may be easier if you take the passenger side wheel off, to remove the guard cover from inside

The mast in mine has broke yesterday, it's a factory fitted electric aerial, will have to pull it out and replace the mast, put back together on the week end,

After calling ford they sell the mast for $50 and a genuine complete electric aerial for $300, after calling auto barn, they sell a complete aerial to fit au for $119, or a mast for $29.

Will post an update after the jobs done.
