Default RPM vs gear

I just noticed today that my XR8 was revving at about 2100rpm when sitting just on 100kms, it sounded like it needed to change gear. it didn't feel like the torque converter was locking up. what revs should it be doing at 100kms? i thought i remember it sitting at about 1800-1900 at 100kms?

my fairmont v8 with 3.45 sits at 2050 at 100kmh, locks up at 70kmh at very very low throttle and is very noticeable

Nope, the sticker on the diff says 3.45 so if your figures are correct then my tacho must be out.

Dont worry, my Tacho is out all the time, lol. At the drags, I cross the line in 2nd in the monty, at 6600rpm, it should be about 6200ish.
In the blue car, limiter is set at 6100, but bounces off 6200. lol.

yeah mine was sitting just tad lower in the RPM but doing 100. maybe i am getting confused with my old XR6, which would do 1900 at 100km, bang in the middle of my exhaust drone range.
