Going to have the Venom Red AU11 XR6 for a few hours on weekend to go over it.Seems to be the most original,well looked after car weve come across.Got it down to $9,500 so we will see what the inspection tells me.Car is option #1

that is a good price...it sounds good and being a country car its probably had minimal wear compared to the city cars...good choice and hope everything goes well in the inspection...keep us posted mate

Have come across a AU11 Fairmont Ghia V8 180km 2001 model,climate,leather/suade interior,leather wheel/shifter/hbrake,premium sound,tickford wheels and spoiler all factory fitted,books for only $9,900.What engine would be in this,just the base spec?cheers.

I have to say my AU Fairmont Ghia is the VCT and drinks like an 8, so personally i'd go the non-vct motor anywho, HP seems better as others have said.
The s1 is what I have (can't complain... well I can (brakes etc.)... but I have leather and bells/whistles to play with in the cabin ) A V8 version of what I have, and series two.... god if only I wasnt on my p's, i'd sell my one and buy the v8 |

what's the saying with the VCT, power of a 6, economy of an 8?
I suppose that's better than my 202, power of a 4, economy of an 8 but i bet you already knew that grandpa_spec

Well,i think we are going to go the AU11 V8 Fairmont Ghia 2001.A whole lot of car for not a whole lot of money.Has factory Tickford wheels and spoilers,getting new towbar fitted,new tyres all round and hands free kit for $9,900.Thankyou for all of the replys.

Yeah your right, a lot of car for not a lot of money, they were big dollar's when new, and they are an extreamly nice luxury vehicle, you will be pleased.
