Default auto gearbox on zetec

hello all,
i want to put a zetec in my cortina buut i want to keep it auto. now i have a problem ive heard that the bellhousings for the manuals fit coz ford kept the same bolt pattern for a while so my question is will the auto fit?
i heard something about the spigot bearing being changed in the zetec in order to fit the rwd manual gearbox so it has the same amount of splines or something like that, if i have it wrong please correct me.
if the spigot bearing can be changed to suit the imput shaft of the manual gearboxes why cant it be changed to suit the borg warner 35?
the reason i wanna go auto is coz im lasy n like jus cruising.
if the bw 35 cant be fitted any chance of the c4?
can any body shed any light on this?
