Extractors and system as they'll help you in the fuel economy stakes.

Save money for the fuel... but if you have to, start with the extractors, they are the biggest restriction.

You would get cat back + extractors for *around* $600... Expect to pay a bit more. If you wanted a high-flow cat as well, tack on antoher $300 or so.

Epping's travelling distance from Parra. Try Tuffy's Mufflers, they do good work.

strackies and cat back, with what fuel costs, you may aswell burn it loud an proud, and the extra horses dont hurt either.

hang on... spending $600 on an exhaust so that it's a tad more economical on fuel?

Get it for sound & slight increase in performance Go a full system!

A "Cat Back" Exhaust means a 2.5" pipe, including mufflers, from your catalytic converter to the rear of the car. Hence, "from the cat back".

The catalytic converter is the small box type thing you can see attached to your exhaust manifold (the pipes on the drivers side of the engine) when you look from the engine bay.

Extractors/Headers are the same thing, they are both designed to create areas of low pressure to "suck" your exhaust gases out, rather than your engine having to "push" them out - as would be the case with the factory exhaust manifold.
From this, you get a slight performance increase, better fuel economy; as extractors allow the engine to breathe better.

I just got extractors and a high flow cat, the car sounds so much better, goes somewhat harder and is a lot more efficient on fuel. :voldar02:

So my choice was to save for fuel $1.23c/L :gren:

No problem. A Dyno run will really tell the tale, but I'm not sure if the place where I'm going has one.
