Had the pleasure of checking out the Marong car show (situated about 15km from Bendigo) yesterday (30th Aug 09), snapped a ton of interesting photos that I thought I'd share with all. The event was run by the Federation of Veteran Vintage & Classic Vehicle Clubs, excellent turnout of trucks, tractors, stationary engines, classic, vintage and modified cars and rods and vintage bikes. Unfortunately all prospective entrant cars between myself and friends were sorta outta action (My EH having dizzy troubles: sorted yesterday though.... XP outta fuel, Statesman outta reg, Davo's HQ Coupe harmonic balancer loose, his Chevy Luv ute in the thick of an engine transplant (Isuzu Piazza EFI with T3/T4 turbo) Ben's HT Monaro in a million pieces... again.... anyway, definately take one or more cars and bikes next year....

Battery bigger than the engine block in a little Austin bread van. Somehow I don't think it would require that much cranking power....
Willys Very O.G. Nash. Is it just me or would this make a mean leadsled....it's already there! |

Was quite a few cars ago now but I built that blue XY GT replica with the silver stripe. Excellent pics of a wide range, nice work.
