Default Yellow XB coupe in TV ad

Just saw a new ad on TV promoting bananas and at the end, parked in front of a billboard is a yellow XB coupe.
Looks like a GT with superlites on it.
Does it belong to anyone on here?

Hey Pinkbits, what state are you in? I'd contact the Fruit Marketing Board if you want to find out who did the ad, then you can contact the ad people and see if they can put you on to the owner, if you really want to know.... I had a look on the banana advert website but can't see the ad you are referring to....googled 'banana ad' and only got this website or one about Wrigley's chewing gum using a banana in the ad. Nothing on Horiculture Aust or the Banana Grower's Board either....

Sorry to be absolutely no help whatsoever!

Do you believe the use of the Coupe is an Australian pride/patriotic attempt since it was the Great Australian Road Car or just because it is a cool old car?

“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

nah nah....i recon its because the car was yellow and shaped like a banana. .
they both can be a bit slippery too

.........or could it be that big powerful horn cars and bananas are both said to be useful alternatives to small appendages, if you know what i mean

The XB is always ripe. Yellow is my fave colour of that era...looks brilliant with black.

I reckon many people would not even know it was an Australian car, let alone a Ford.

I was thinking the same thing.

Oh yeah, the car is nice too. Probably in there because of its colour and because it is something different.
